Kathryn Moore
Kathryn was drawn to becoming an End of Life (EOL) Doula from experiences with family and friends. As a voice actor, Kathryn narrated an e-learning Child Birth course and learned about a Birth Doula. When a friend mentioned “Death Doula” the lights went on! If you can have a supportive and enhanced birth with a Doula, then of course the same could apply at the end of one's life journey.
She was a past Executive Director with Scarborough Support Services for the Elderly Inc. As a Senior Program Consultant at the Ministry of Health and Long-term Care, she enjoyed 29 years with the Ontario Public Service.
Kathryn is on the Board of Directors of TransCare, a community support organization, and she volunteers at the Yee Hong Hospice. Her interests include walking, voice acting, mindfulness meditation, nutrition, floral designing and working out at the YMCA. Kathryn is a proud married mother of two adult children and a grandchild. She has a natural ability to offer a calm and positive approach with kindness.
