Towards the end of my Nursing Career I became interested in death and dying. The Homeless people I worked with often died alone with no one knowing any of their wishes. It struck me that this was not right. With further exploration I realized many people die not expressing their wishes. After learning about Death Doulas I realized this was what I was meant to do... I want to support all people in using their voice to tell their story, say what they fear, say what they want at the end of their life. There likely will be tears, I'm sure there will be laughter. I will support, empower and honour you to the end. I will support your family as needed. It would be my honour to work with you.
